MILI Meeting with Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement

On December 5, Myanmar Independent Living Initiative (MILI) met with the union minister of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement (MSWRR), Dr. Win Myat Aye, in Nay Pyi Taw, to discuss potential areas of collaboration in conducting the multi-stakeholder dialogue on the ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025: Mainstreaming the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Masterplan). The minister proposed the third week of January 2020 for the event date and offered his support by inviting relevant government officials, in addition to confirming that the union minister will give a welcome remark in the dialogue. The ministry also suggested that the dialogue should be accessible for persons with disabilities.
