On May 11, AGENDA partner Cambodian Disabled People’s Organization (CDPO) organized a virtual joint advocacy strategy plan meeting with four civil society organizations (CSOs) as part of the CDPO-led intersectional coalition. The coalition’s goal is to enhance access for marginalized groups with disabilities to free-of-charge healthcare services. As part of the coalition, the Banteay Srei organization and the Cambodian Women’s Crisis Center (CWCC) will focus on the health of women with disabilities. Additionally, the Health Action Coordinating Committee (HACC) will focus on youth with disabilities and the Bandanh Chaktomok (Cambodia LGBT Network) will focus on the health of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) individuals with disabilities. A total of nine people – including four women – participated in the coalition meeting.
