On September 5 and 6, AGENDA conducted a workshop in Makassar, South Sulawesi and in Surabaya, East Java respectively on best practices on reporting on accessible elections and how DPOs better interact and deal with the media as well as to develop press release. Various medias whether it is print, audio/visual or online media were attended both trainings. DPO s representatives also attended the media training in Makassar and Surabaya. The training curriculum was based on the AGENDA Media Guidelines for reporting on accessible elections. Media participants had the opportunity to experience of ‘living with disability’ in one of training exercise sessions. They also experienced to interact directly and interviewed persons with disabilities during the training. Both in Makassar and Surabaya few news articles were published by online Medias on disability access and election as well as about the training.
