On June 25, AGENDA representative M. Afifuddin from JPPR gave a presentation in Manila on best practices in observing the accessibility of elections at the ASEAN Conference on Election Observation, organized by the ASEAN Secretariat, DFA Philippines, COMELEC and IDEA International. The event brought together delegates from member states as well as the European Union, the African union, and the Organization of American States to share their best practices in allowing independent groups to observe their elections and discuss best practices from around the world that may be adapted in the local context. The AGENDA presentation included a voting simulation in a mock polling station set up at the conference involving participants by blindfolding them or placing them into wheelchairs. The newly edited AGENDA video on an accessible polling station set up was also presented for the first time in Manila.
