AGENDA partner in the Philippines, the Center for Advocacy, Learning, and Livelihood (CALL) Foundation of the Blind, Inc is organizing a webinar series on“Promoting a Rights-based Action through the ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025: Mainstreaming the Rights of Persons with Disabilities” in May 2020. On May 12, 65 people participated in the first Zoom webinar, on the topic of education. Four speakers, including a Deaf student, a special education teacher, a parent of a child with a disability, and the principal of the Philippines School for the Deaf discussed the pandemic and its impact on the education of persons with disabilities in the Philippines. CALL Foundation began the webinar by sharing the results of a survey on the impact of COVID on education for people with disabilities. The discussion focused on the readiness of the Philippine government to move to online learning and different approaches for supporting students with disabilities in online learning.
