Consultation Workshop on Achieving a Disability-Inclusive Post COVID-19 World

On December 3, coinciding with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, AICHR Thailand in collaboration with ASEAN Disability Forum (ADF) and AGENDA held a virtual consultation workshop on “Achieving a Disability-Inclusive Post COVID-19 World.” Welcoming remarks were given by H.E. Prof. Dr. Amara Pongsapich, Representative of Thailand to the AICHR and Ms. Danielle Sever, Acting Counsellor of the Australian Mission to ASEAN of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Dr. Ben Gauntlett, Disability Discrimination Commissioner of the Australian Human Rights Commission provided the keynote speaker on Achieving a Disability-Inclusive Post Coid-19 World at the workshop. The workshop discussed present responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, the sustainable development goals (SDGs), “building back together” and the Enabling Masterplan in a post-COVID-19 world. OPDs also presented the recommendations to AICHR. OPDs also presented the recommendations developed to AICHR Thailand where it received verbal acknowledgement.
