On October 15, AGENDA partner, the National Council for the Blind Malaysia (NCBM), conducted its final series of regional awareness workshops in Kuching, Sarawak to raise public awareness on the Masterplan at the state level. 21 participants joined, including five women, from nine DPOs; the Ministry of Women, Family, and Community Development; the Ministry of Health; and the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia. Participants agreed on three priority areas of advocacy as part of the policy platform: education, capacity-building of relevant stakeholders, and employment for persons with disabilities.
