Policy Platform Workshop in Laos

On April 5, AGENDA’s partner, the Disability Mainstreaming Advisory Service (DMAS) Center, organized a policy platform workshop to identify priority areas for persons with disabilities in Laos. Opening remarks were given by Sisavath Khomphonh, Head of the National Committee for Disabled People (NCDE) and the representative of Laos to Senior Officials Meeting on Social Welfare and Development (SOMSWD). Inclusive education, environment, health and employment were identified as the four priority issues for persons with disabilities in Laos by 21 DPOs from national and provincial levels representing various types of disabilities in Laos.
