On December 6, ADF partner in the Philippines, Center for Advocacy, Learning, and Livelihood (CALL) Foundation held a virtual public awareness campaign on the Enabling Masterplan in the Philippines. Hon. Ma. Lourdes T. Arroyo, a member of Philippines House of Representative provided a keynote speech at the event. The virtual campaign also included a representative of Senior Officials Meeting on Social Welfare and Development (SOMSWD) Philippines. A representative from the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) spoke on the Enabling Masterplan and its implementation in the Philippines. A representative of the Commission on Human Rights talked about persons with disabilities in the Philippines during the COVID-19 pandemic. CALL Foundation also acknowledged four national government agencies that have adopted and implemented the Enabling Masterplan in the Philippines which include NCDA, province of the Camarines Norte, municipality of Laoang, Northern Samar, Barangay Poblacion, Malasiqui and Pangasinan. Winners of the Masterplan’s article writing and static infographic contest organized by CALL Foundation also shared their perspectives on the competition and the Enabling Masterplan at the event. Two singers performed by deaf communities in the Philippines were featured in the event. A total of 263 people participated in the virtual campaign event.
