AGENDA partner, the Indonesian Disabled People’s Association (PPDI), organized a public dialogue on the Masterplan in Jakarta on August 7. The dialogue was attended by 91 participants, 38 of which were women, representing various DPOs, universities, political parties, government bodies, and media outlets. Edi Suharto, the General Director of Social Rehabilitation at the Ministry of Social Affairs, gave opening remarks. There were three main issues presented at the dialogue: understanding the Masterplan and its implementation in Indonesia, PPDI’s policy platform on persons with disabilities, and legal identity issues for persons with disabilities in Indonesia. The participants expressed their support for PPDI’s policy platform by signing a banner for the “Joint Commitment to Persons with Disabilities in Indonesia”.
