On May 29, General Election Network for Disability Access (AGENDA) partner in Thailand, Union for Civil Liberty (UCL), conducted a focus group discussion (FGD) with youth with disabilities to develop recommendations on their needs and expectations for the newly-elected Bangkok governor, who assumed office on May 22, 2022. The FGD resulted in 45 recommendations on issues such as public space, transportation, health, environment, education, development policy and others. Participants shared concerns regarding the inadequate healthcare center budget, inaccessible school facilities and inaccessible public transport in Bangkok. In total, 43 people participated in the event, including nine people with visual disabilities, 15 people with hearing disabilities, 12 people with physical disabilities and seven caretakers of persons with intellectual disabilities
