On January 8, General Election Network for Disability Access (AGENDA) partner in Vietnam, Hanoi Independent Living Center (HILC), organized a workshop with a local disabled people organization (DPO) partner in Da Nang province to identify community priorities in the ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025. The aim of the workshop was to introduce the Masterplan to the local government and community of persons with disabilities and to identify priorities for persons with disabilities in Da Nang province. Participants in the workshop identified four main priorities: 1) access to transportation and building facilities; 2) access to information; 3) access to key resources, such as the ability to obtain a driver’s license, or the right to receive an education or a loan, and; and 4) participation of persons with disabilities in political life. This workshop replicated an earlier workshop in Ha Nam province.
